8/18/2018  · The Editor tab in Appearance is missing . I know that Itheme Security hides this page for security reasons but I don’t see a place to enable or disable it in Wordfence and when I disable the plugin the Editor doesn’t come back.

Open up your wp-config.php file, and search for. define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true) Change true to false: define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, false), So the 5.0 is a major update for WordPress and one of the bells and whistles it has brought to the table is the Gutenberg editor becoming default. You can deactivate all plugins by going to the dashboard: Plugins > Installed Plugins. Select All Plugins.


7/3/2019  · Recently I ran across an issue with one of our client WordPress WooCommerce websites, where we could not edit any WP Bakery Page Builder element (formerly known as Visual Composer). My team spent hours looking into this, so our client could edit his page and post content again. We finally found the solution and I hope this will help anyone else who runs into this issue.


Then, re-enable them one by one while testing to see if your visual editor is missing text or buttons. If a plugin is causing the issue, you’ll eventually come across the one that is breaking the editor. If you disable all of your plugins and the editor is still blank, then you know it’s not a plugin.


Simply go to the Settings » Writing page in your WordPress admin area. You will see the option to do this under “Classic editor settings”. Don’t forget to click on the save changes button to your site settings.


4/4/2010  · To turn the Visual Editor back on go to Users (in the left column when you are logged into your blog), click on Your Profile, look for Personal Options and uncheck the box that says Disable the visual editor when writing.
